  • Kyprians Circle (FIN) – Noitatulen Vartija CD 15.88

    Black Metal

Originally released in 1999, Noitatulen vartija was the debut EP of KYPRIAN’S CIRCLE, and also the band’s final recording. Granted, mainman Kyprian had released three demos during 1996 and ’97 and then a split tape in ’98, but the five-song/19-minute Noitatulen vartija was the longest recording he released under the KYPRIAN’S CIRCLE banner. As such, it was the fullest exploration of his aesthetic, and a perfect distillation of the times: raw-yet-ethereal black metal brimming with both a moonlit mysticism and a woodland wonder. Simple pleasures, to be sure, but ones that extolled the eternal glory of ancient black metal. Feel the breath of night again, or perhaps for the first time, with KYPRIAN’S CIRCLE’s Noitatulen vartija!

  • Lifelover (SWE) – Sjukdom DIGI-CD 16.88

    Black Metal

Lifelover’s fourth and last album “Sjukdom” (English: disease) is a dark and challenging record. Following their critical acclaim-afforded and cathartic “Konkurs” in 2008, these elusive and mysterious misanthropes venture down an even more daring path with “Sjukdom” where the extremes of the characteristically idiosyncratic Lifelover sound are pushed to their utmost limit: the bittersweet melodies become more beautiful whilst the pulsing, coal-black heaviness becomes uglier. After the tragic death of B in September 2011, this is Lifelover’s final studio album.

  • Limbonic Art (NOR) – Opus Daemoniacal DIGI-CD 16.88

    Black Metal

LIMBONIC ART are back! Their ninth full-length “Opus Daemoniacal” is black as a raven, fierce as a wolf, majestic as an eagle, and mighty as the legendary Norwegian black metal pioneers that mastermind, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Vidar “Daemon” Jensen founded in 1993 have always been. “Opus Daemoniacal” continues along the more straightforward black metal path that the Norwegian has chosen for his last releases yet this album also deliberately harks back to the dense atmospheric and cinematic feel of LIMBONIC ART’s groundbreaking early works. After having turned into a duo, the debut album “Moon in the Scorpio” was released in 1996 via Nocturnal Art Productions – the label of EMPEROR guitarist Samoth aka Tomas Thormodsæter Haugen

  • Lord Valtgryftake (CL) – Buried Under the Carved Runes CD 14.88

    Black Metal

After a compilation based on works from the past, Lord Valtgryftåke “Buried Under the Carved Runes” is a totally fresh and very characteristic facet of this veteran is now shown. A sound coupling of rustic, old and classic aspect of the old pioneering hordes of black metal, this work enhances with malevolent winds some of the chamber recordings, never finished rehearsals etc, all this made available again in a new and characterful album.

Leaving a really interesting overture together with an intense lyrical message, pagan and full of southern mysticism. One of the main decisions to take into consideration was to venture into the old Nordic, Greek and Polish sounds to give an evil form to this new spectrum and transcend various parameters of minimalism orchestrated by a black twilight…

    Black Metal

Lunar Spells is a Greek Black Metal band formed in Athens in 2020, by Cryptic (guitar, vocals, synths), K.C.H (bass) and V.T (drums). Both musically and lyrically, Lunar Spells stays close to the roots of Scandinavian “old school” black metal. Lyrical subjects thus often deal with darkness, depression, misanthropy and hate. After their first EP recording Medieval Shadows from an Ancient Netherworld (2020), the line-up was augmented by Atxak on vocals, and the group recorded their debut full length album Where Silence Whispers. On the second full length album, Cryptic took over the vocals part again, while the musical and conceptual direction remained the same.
