The disc was first released on CD in 1999 and marked the second album by the musicians who previously made the instruments sound in Bollwerk. The boys have mastered their musical craft and therefore clearly do not fall under the label “rumpel rock”, but rather deliver solid melodies and snappy guitar solos.

Lead lines portend dark truths, ever building in tension and then grandeur, but the record’s swift-yet-satisfying runtime reveals the darkest, most intrinsic truth: black metal doesn’t need to “become” anything when it already IS.
