Hailing from the decadent mysticism of the South American continent, twin torrents of squalid vampyric ichor seeping from immortal black fangs, shambles and slaughters those entities of the eternal nocturnal known by titles of Wampyric Rites and Funeral Fullmoon. With both of these nosferatu noctuaries coming into existence in the age of 2019, their own takes on the most raw of vampyric black metal complementing each in perfection of victim drain destitution, it was only a matter of time before the prophecies of their darkest stars aligned in constellations of the most accursed conspiracies. Thus it would be that in the sordid of shadow, hidden from the flames and fears of the mortal folk, that the Spectral Shadows of the Forgotten Castle would be constructed between them, with only the most arcane powers of Inferna Profundus Records to bring this vision to those acolytes seeking the clarity of the damned.

Ulvmonddomānen stands on a crescent sound constant linking the old world to primordial forces and transformation, clothed in the shadows of the damned ancient shrines that once served in the wheel of the mystical world. This garment is constituted beyond the nocturnal veil of the lunar forces and traditional mythology, the diabolical appearance of the sacred mirrors of the underworld and the cathartic transformation of the Being into the fiery beast, dominated by the venomous intellect and the perpetual cold of distant lands. Each of the hymns-legends has an auræs of old grimoires haunted by the sinister veil of the fullmoon whispers, wrapped by a completely different revelations and much more complex devilish orchestration than the beginnings of “Stronghold of Majestic Ruins” a refined but powerful setting that highlights the glorious reflections of the time of past hordes. Ulvmonddomānen will be the next arcane appearance of the colossal cenotaph carved under the majestic immemorial realms.

Endearingly and engagingly familiar yet done with the deft nous for which V-Khaoz is known, SORGETID’s first salvo is based purely on intuition and the man’s need “to get quite old stuff out of my head – no future, no past.” Existing within those reverently stringent boundaries, Natt av Tusen Dödsfall unveils a landscape rife with melancholy and madness, nostalgia and nightsky mysticism, fury and wonder woven together with elder chainmail forged in the fires of olde. Eight songs across 37 minutes are more than sufficient to paint the atmospheres and sensations that seemingly exist out of time. The album’s no less raw nor polished than it needs to be; rather, it IS, unyielding and undying.
