Comes in heavy vinyl, with insert & numbered card , cover is embossed and special finished as known from the other GO albums.
Limited run of app 5.185.750 copies only ! It was the year 1989 as 1st LP of Genocide Organ got released in an edition of 291 copies, and it got re-released on vinyl for the 20th anniversary 2009 in an edition of again 291 copies only.
This 30th anniversary edition features the all-style GO cover art, debossed and spot varnished and comes with an A4 insert plus additional numbered insert.
It contains the 2009 re-mastered version done by Jason Mantis with the two additional tracks.
Many things have been written about the debut fullenght release of the GO, we do not like to add more to it than saying its a classic in post industrial power electronics genre.

That of military contractors – whether it have been the cretian archers, the celtic cavlery, the germanic body guards, the swiss guards – muslim or christian motivated soldiers, spartans and greeks – european or asian – UN – Forces or private contractors – those people always seeked more than money – the record here deals with the overall topic of mercenary or more. Like always Genocide Organ’s music is straight forward – expanding all genres and categories. A powerful assault and aggressive undertone interchanges with a dense depressive mood – all tracks are new but have been partly played live during their last live appearance.

With sound material recorded between 1985 and 1990, this self-titled album was originally intended for release in Japan in 1990 as Genocide Organ’s second LP, and is the missing link between “Leichenlinie” and “Save Our Slaves”. Some tracks have appeared before but the album is presented now as a whole for the first time on CD to commemorate the first live appearance of Genocide Organ in Tokyo, Japan on March 1, 2003.

Verdun,1916 expands heavily into the precise combination of martial sound collage and cold mechanical noise fog, supposedly created through archival interviews with veterans, members of GOH travelled to the old battlefields for field recordings, scrapping war objects along the side of the old bullet holed pill boxes and collected fragments of shrapnel, helmets, belt buckles, rations, casings etc. creating hand-made metal percussion and crude art brut electrical conductors.
