Their early contributions to the genre are significant still today for their technical skills and intensity and their debut album, the legendary “Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana” is regarded as one of the classic 90s black metal records.

Black Metal

Originally released by Unisound Records in 1995, this hidden gem of Greek black metal lay dormant in the murky Greek swamp for many years; only getting the occasional CD or tape reissues on underground labels. The vinyl edition has been elusive for over a decade and fetching high prices on discogs. We’ve addressed many of the oddities of the original vinyl pressing, including the lopsided side break that resulted in 30 minutes of play time on side B, and lack of a proper band logo on the cover. CD version will be released by Frost and Fire Records from Greece.

The official New Glory reissue on the original label – no bootlegging, no “private edition,” and no “imported fan edition” from dubious scene crooks at bargain basement prices! The 1988 debut album by the American Oi! band from Philadelphia. The combo is considered by some to be the best American Oi! band of the 80s. After the breakup of “The Uprise,” Matt Andrews and Rob Daly formed the band NEW GLORY together with their good friends Fran Sherlock (vocals) and Todd Forkin (guitar). Unfortunately, the band only existed for two years, and “Backlash” was their only release.

Inspired by hatred and some of the vilest and darkest Metal of the 80s, Sweden`s most demented twins, Hellbutcher and Tyrant, came up with their only demo Unholy Death, spawned in hell in 1993.

Although the tracks immortalized on this demo are poorly recorded and rather amateurishly performed they already and unmistakenly bear some of the trademarks the band would come to be worshipped for. Hellbutcher`s insane, utterly
possessed screams and their songwriting talent and sense for melody turn the demo into a must-have not only for loyal worshippers of the band but for anyone into early SODOM, early BATHORY or TREBLINKA.
