  • Chamber of Unlight (FIN) – Realm of the Night LP 26.88

    Black Metal

CHAMBER OF UNLIGHT began as the solo work of multi-instrumentalist Necrosis. The man stands as a prolific veteran of Finland’s esteemed extreme metal landscape; during the past 20 years, his credits include Deathchain, Ajattara, Shade Empire, and Trollheims Grott. Joined by drummer Kassara – himself an equally prolific Finnish veteran whose credits likewise include Deathchain and Trollheims Grott but also Horna, Bythos, Forgotten Horror, Striges, and Black Death Ritual among others – CHAMBER OF UNLIGHT released their self-titled debut demo in 2017. Immediately, the eldritch essence of ’90s Finnish black metal was felt, and the storm was only brewing…

  • Chauves Pourris (FRA) – Vaterland BLUE LP 28.88

    RAC / Oi!

CHAUVES POURRIS was a French skinhead band that was active from 1986 to 1993 and shone during this time alongside other combos from the country of the Gauls such as Legion 88, Bunker 84, Brutal Combat and Evil Skins. In 1992, their last album, the LP “Vaterland”, was released on Herbert Egoldt’s Brühl label Rock-O-Rama Records. This work also relied on the tried and tested mix of powerful Oi!/Punk and socially critical themes, with the title conveying a strong political undertone. “Fatherland” reflected the increasing frustration and social tensions of the time when the songs on this record were created.

  • Cintecele Diavolui (NOR) – The Devil’s Songs Part II: One Soul Less For The Devil LP 25.88

    Dungeon Synth

The songs on this album have, up til this point, only been available on the long sold out extended CD versions of “The Devil´s Songs” that were put out by Dark Dungeon Music and Cold Meat Industry, respectively. The song “The Devil Must Kill” has only ever been available on the Cold Meat Industry compilation CD “Absolute Supper”.

These songs were all recorded not too long after the initial 5 songs (Part 1: Dance of The Dead) that originally appeared on the 10″ EP “The Devil´s Songs” in 1997. By their very nature, these songs are a lot more experimental, and rely heavily on atmospherics, with the exception of “The Devil Must Kill”, which was recorded a bit later, on it´s own, and is a bit of a return to the original “The Devil´s Songs” sounds, albeit the only song with sung vocals Cintecele Diavolui ever did.

  • Circle of Ouroborus (FIN) – Autuala LP 26.88

    Black Metal

Impervious to any form of classification, Circle of Ouroborus generate an amalgamation of styles that is utterly their own creation.
Riffs are emotive while burrowing deep within the recesses of the mind, imparting themselves into the subconscious.
The vocals sit in a purgatory of tortured spoken singing, heavy with reverberation echoing across the instrumentation.
Each track effortlessly drifts into indiscriminate soundscapes with curiosities hidden throughout, providing the listener a different experience upon each visit. Another stellar entry into their ever evolving discography that should not be missed.

  • Circle of Ouroborus (FIN) – Lumi Vaientaa Kysymykset LP 28.88

    Black Metal

Their 2023 latest album on LP.

With “Lumi Vaientaa Kysymykse” we can see still some elements of recent CoO albums, with a lot of soothing, shoegazing melodies passing through, however the pace is rather toned down into a more dragging and Doomy pace, often reminiscing with Katatonia, both in tempo as melody wise, and with an approach more akin to records like “Kuuhun Kahlittu” and some part which are particularly metallic and acrid, such as the beginning of the second track, almost closer to Atvar’s work under Kêres. The Post-Punk basslines however are still always there creating their own shamanistic, hypnotic sound, as well as the feverish experimentalism characteristc of 70s and 80s Psych and Folk rock and adjacent much present in the keyboards and daring, outsider guitarwork, particularly in “Lankeemus”.

  • Clandestine Blaze (FIN) – Consecration of the Blood LP 28.88

    Black Metal

Since 1998 Clandestine Blaze has been on its path where core ideas of Black Metal are presented with merciless and unapologetic ways. CB has rejected many of the forms contemporary black metal has taken and ways it manifests itself. However, instead of nostalgia for past, CB has been on constant movement towards future and each album brings new additions to formerly existing body of work. Consecration of the Blood is at the same time traditional CB, yet brings always something new. Sound rejects many of the flaws seen in contemporary metal. Production rejects both polished clean studio approach as well as distorted lo-fi mess. What comes to overall sound, Consecration of the Blood is somewhere closer to Fist of the Northern Destroyer, On The Mission and New Golgotha Rising. Minimal echoes, thin and piercing sound, not compressed and boosted. Music combines simplicity of old CB with more unusual riffing of new CB. Lyrically proceeding from where former albums have touched. Available on black vinyl LP and jewelbox CD.

  • Coldworld (DEU) – The Stars Are Dead Now LP 22.88

    Black Metal

Already in the early days „The Stars Are Dead Now“ was advanced with two additional tracks, followed by multiple re-issues showcasing the interest in this recording. However, the record always kept its tense character making it the perfect soundtrack for dreary days. The release comprises of seven titles, one as a fully instrumental ambient track („The Old Ghost In The Well“), and all lyrics and music were solely done by G.B., giving this band and release a rather unparalleled sound. Undoubtedly „The Stars Are Dead Now“ must be considered a true must-have for those involved in a more ambient-rooted kind of black metal and the sounds of isolation.

  • Combat 84 (UK) – Send In The Marines! BROWN LP 28.88

    RAC/Oi!

Back again! The official Combat 84 “Send in the Marines!” re-release on the original label, Rock-O-Rama Records! No bootlegging, no “private edition,” and no “imported fan edition” from shady scene crooks at brothel prices!

Originally released in 1984, “Send in the Marines!” conquered the streets with its uncompromising anthems for the working class. This album isn’t a record for lollipops, nor music for blue-haired bangers who leave the room triggered by every harsh note. Combat 84 expressed what they thought – without filters, without PR consultants, without fear of controversy, and when things went wrong, they got a slap in the face. The London band became a legend! And the album title is more relevant than ever, considering the current riots by multi-criminal gangs in Los Angeles and other major US cities.

  • Condemned 84 (UK) – Face The Aggression LP 26.88

    RAC/Oi!

Finally available again on vinyl! The cult album from England’s most based punk/Oi! Band from Ipswich in Suffolk. At Condemned 84 you always know where you stand. Although all of their albums sound somewhat similar, you can always rely on them to consistently hit like a hammer on the anvil and take no prisoners!

For the 2023 edition, the cover was colored and minimally defused. As very few people know, the original version of the CD and LP title page was indexed by the Federal Agency for Child and Youth Media Protection (formerly the Federal Testing Agency for Media Harmful to Minors) in 2014. On top of that, the judiciary in Germany also took note of the cover without going into further detail. But since this shortcoming has been fixed, the world is a fragrant flower meadow again.

  • Controlled Death (JPN) – Ritualistic Mutilation in the Bloody Darkness DLP 34.88

    Industrial

Controlled Death is the dark side project by the Japanese noise legend Maso Yamazaki a.k.a. Masonna. In April 2018 he decided to make a shudder debut with 1st album Symphony For The Black Murder then followed at the beginning of 2019 from 2nd work in an astonishing black wooden box that included Journey Through A Dead Body on vinyl and Deathwish Tapes 1-3 on cd and double tape. Now we’re thrilled to see yet another mind-boggling work on double LP recorded during this year, Ritualistic Mutilation in the Bloody Darkness. Wild and amazing, this one is absolutely essential for any fan of synth and dark ambient music. Cracked minimal electronic sound by Korg MS-20, unclear and disturbing voice with the influence of primitive black metal and dark ritual in this new double album which developed a moisturized doom world while wearing a raw material texture. While listening to the records, each long track does meander their way slowly through proceedings with silent pauses, but they nonetheless generate a respectably dense assemblage of sounds. The smell of death is soaked in every groove produced by the four vinyl sides. The activities of Controlled Death are like archaic revival to the music experience before Masonna. We can also find the pathology image of the early industrial period and the shadows of Vienna activism such as Hermann Nitsch as well as loose bits of seminal black metal.
