  • Iron Triumph (USA) – Iron Triumph LP 32.88

    Black Metal

This mysterious self-titled is itself the debut release from this project, of so-far anonymous, but super active individual that absolutely crushes it with every release, in all kinds of relentless ways – listenably raw, ferociously melodic and rhythmically charged, this has been on our stereo for weeks and is only likely to get bumped when then next new project from this fiendishly creative artist comes along.

  • Isengard (NOR) – Høstmørke CD 16.88

    Black Metal

‘Høstmørke’, meaning Autumn Darkness, was the second Isengard album, (even though the debut, ‘Vinterskugge’ is a collection of sorts). It was released in 1995 and featured a continuation of Norwegian folk elements mixed with some doom, with all instruments once again performed by Fenriz himself, as well as the now-trademark vocal delivery. The latter part of the album also features a couple of black metal tracks which explore territory a bit more in line with Darkthrone, particularly the track ‘Total Death’. Høstmørke is also notable for featuring a couple of small guest appearances from Aldrahn (Thorns, ex Dødheimsgard) and Vicotnik of Dødheimsgard.

This vinyl release contains the second and third chapters of Vinterskugge, with 1989’s cult ‘Spectres Over Gorgoroth’ recordings, followed by tracks made in 1991, and forming the ‘Horizons’ chapter.

Containing the opening chapter from ‘Vinterskugge’, the masterful ‘Vandreren’ tracks became an inspiration to a generation for its folk-tinged epic viking anthems, dark atmospheric tracks and additional doses of black metal grimness.

  • Isengard (NOR) – Vinterskugge CD 16.88

    Black Metal

Isengard was the solo-project started in 1989 by Fenriz – one the key driving forces behind Norwegian legends Darkthrone – because he had many musical ideas to explore that didn’t strictly fit in with the style and music of Darkthrone. Under the Isengard moniker, Fenriz released 2 albums, ‘Vinterskugge’ & ‘Høstmørke’.

‘Vinterskugge’ consists of 3 separate recordings made between 1989 & 1993, and contains a whole multitude of styles, including doom, rock, folk, death, black & Viking metal. Vinterskugge also demonstrated Fenriz’s breadth of vocal styles, lending an epic edge to many of the tracks.

  • Isengard (NOR) – Vårjevndøgn LP 32.88

    Black / Folk Metal

After a period of 25 long years since Isengard’s last studio output, and having recently unearthed a set of tracks from his own archive of material recorded back in those early glory days, this new series of tracks – which were thought to be lost – follow on from some of the metal last heard on 1994’s ‘Vinterskugge’.

‘Vårjevndøgn’ is a monumental journey of epic heavy metal mixed with a often more sombre doomy rock/metal atmosphere bringing to mind bands like US heavy metal veterans Pentagram, & also includes 2 tracks previously only heard on the limited ‘Traditional Doom Cult’ 7” Peaceville release from 2017.

  • Issolei (NOR) – Cilicium LP 26.88

    Black Metal

Unpredictable, challenging and intricate Black Metal from Trondheim, Norway. What separates this band from the ‘usual Terratur releases’, whatever that really means, is the intense technical variations of this band. At times so dissonant it gets you to a breaking point, only to be left marveled by another genius twist with their ingenious songwriting. I stand in ave! Although the resemblance to a certain French act springs to mind, ISSOLEI delivers something unique if you ask me. Play loud repeatedly to fully grasp it all, this band requires your full attention.

Originally the two Devouring Current ep’s was their debut album, recorded back in 2014, but as it was well over an hour long, it was split in two, edited slightly and fully mastered in 2020. Cilicium was recorded in 2017 and shows the band regressing slightly in both arrangements and production, moving backwards into even darker territories. As the band got a new vocalist in 2020, the band already has a substantial history over 15 years after its inception, and it’s with immense pleasure Terratur Possessions gets to present all this at the same time while we wait in anticipation for more to come.

Though it might sound like multiple guitar tracks, Devouring Current in its entirety has only a single track of one guitar. The guitar effects were pre-programmed and recorded as presented on the released album.

    Black Metal

Bestowing a mastery of harsh and bleak raw black metal. Indonesian Raw Black Metal entity JURE GRANDO conspires rites of undeath in a manifestation of this tormented anomaly that emits sounds of dark witchery and voiding chaos.

A revelation of JURE GRANDO is summoned, ‘ARCHAIC MOON MYSTICISM’ will rebirth the shrouded unholy spirits that follow the path of mystic raw black metal. This dedication of evil is a manifestation of ethereal illusions and chaotic visions. This declaration of Raw Black Metal is a proclamation of impure, inhuman, and unholy sounds. This distorted and destructive assault summons eight tracks of ancient invocations, leading an alliance of treacherous drumming, tortured howls, and mystic guitar melodies. These offerings demonstrate the total worship of chaos and abhorrence, leading JURE GRANDO further into the nights veil after the entities two previously released demos. A resurrection of raw ferocity and internal evil devoid of life.

  • Kaava & Malja (FIN) – Avaran Laavan Aavikko MC 12.88

    Black Metal

Snarling forth upon a ray of dissonant emission across the sanguine dunes of an empty desert, comes that which lays with eyes open and throats torn wide, that being of brittle birth known only by herald of Kaava & Malja. At the helm of this ambient noise beast, is none other than Antti Klemi of Circle of Ouroboros infamy, who has been plying his strange sounds of an experimental essence for many years now—Kaava & Malja being the latest casting of his surreal sounds. Bringing this colossal dominion of black noise to acolytes is the iron misery of GoatowaRex enigma emaciation, taking these weird wonders of woe and delivering them to acolytes upon terror of tape.
