  • Brutal Attack (UK) – Tales Of Glory BLUE LP 26.88

    RAC/Oi!

In 1989, Brutal Attack released their third and best LP “Tales Of Glory” on Rock-O-Rama Records. This release highlighted the band’s leading role within the second generation of rock-against-communism bands such as No Remorse, Skullhead, Sudden Impact, English Rose etc. As an album, “Tales Of Glory” is chock-full of well-crafted, catchy, beautifully melodic ones Anthems (such as the truly impressive ballad “Ocean Of Warriors”) and aggressive Oi!/Rock hits about standing up for the preservation of one’s own nation (“England”). The first song, the fast-paced and insanely catchy “Tales of Glory”, is a quintessentially traditional RAC classic, while tracks like “While The Flame Burns” and “Raise The Fist” subtly but directly address questions of identity and anti -Address immigration topics (without insults or mentions of specific population groups).

  • Brutal Combat (FRA) – Charles Martel LP 26.88

    RAC/Oi!

When the English RAC was enjoying its impressive heyday 40 years ago with bands like Skrewdriver, Brutal Attack, No Remorse, Squadron and Skullhead, France also had its music groups that received great attention across national borders: Evil Skins, Legion88, Bunker84, Kontingen88 and the said BRUTAL COMBAT. Their powerful music was always a reflection of the harsh everyday life on the street. Honest, straightforward music that didn’t sugarcoat anything and implanted barbs in the listener’s brain as the sounds directly amounted to a slap in the face.

  • Burial Moon (EST) – Burial Moon CD 14.88

    Black Metal

Burial Moon are a mysterious international entity which may or may not include members as distant as Northern Europe as well as the southernmost climes of Europe. Grim and ethereal is their black metal, as the four lengthy tracks across their 22-minute Burial Moon mini-album cast a spell of raw mysticism immediately felt. The guitar tone alone, despite being hypnotically melodic, sounds like decay in realtime; the vocals suitably hover above the ever-surging miasma like a malignant spectre, and often take on a disembodied choral effect. And, for as lengthy as those four component tracks are, their song titles go to great lengths – literally – to convey the psychic headspace Burial Moon are occupying on their public debut.

  • Burier (AUS) – IV – Wielding Malignity LP 42.88

    Black Metal

Burier IV – Wielding Malignity – an auditory altar, forged to conjure a series of surreal, blood drenched nightmares, permeated by abstract and otherworldly expressions of rage, pain, and horror.

Originally planned in concept as 7″ format, the material overflowed and the result is a 12 track 40min full length release.

Recorded at the end of the Australian summer MMXX, Burier IV is comprised of tracks that are short in length and aggressive in nature, bursting forth with a sharpened edge.

Burier IV could be considered a conceptual anomaly, yet is undeniably congruous with the Burier catalog of recordings so far, employing similar palettes of darkly coloured, complex instrumentation and tortured, shrieking vocals, dynamically pulsating, here wielded with a heightened sense of ferocity.
