Dolorosa, a new project from Gaua’s mastermind, presents “Summoning Ancient Bleakness” as its debut release. Grounded in the 90’s Black Metal tradition, echoing “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” early Dissection and early Gorgoroth (just to name a few), it pays homage to its influences while pushing boundaries.
Channeling a fiery intensity linked to its spiritual roots, “Summoning Ancient Bleakness” displays an 8 song framework imbued with different dynamics and vibrant vigor, built on a perfect blend of guitar riffs and melodies with a robust and powerful drumming performance.
